Chef Basket: Space and Time Saver

“I’m not a huge kitchen gadget person” confesses Ellen in her review of the Chef Basket for Confessions of an Overworked Mom.  “The house was built in 1865 and people just didn’t need the amount of storage space today that we do.”

Ellen also discusses the size of her family and her wish for kitchen tools that allows her to cook large volumes of food but doesn’t fill up the cupboards.  She then goes to demonstrate how she cooked two boxes of pasta with the Chef Basket and declares it’s “…fantastic cooking basket for pasta.”

She ends by highlighting the space-saving nature of the Chef Basket.  “When you’re done using the Chef Basket, it folds completely flat to store it.  It takes up practically no room at all and does everything that my big, bulky colander does plus more!  This is definitely a time and space saver in my kitchen.”

Boil, Fry, and Steam with the Chef Basket

NECN.com posted a nice review of The Chef Basket.  Leslie Gaydos provided details on The Chef Basket including how it’s designed to help in the kitchen with tasks such as boiling vegetables, deep frying French fries, or straining bowtie pasta.

Leslie goes on to write, “We filled the basket with eggs to see how easy it would be to hard boil a batch. There were no problems there, and rinsing them in the sink was easy too. I flipped the Chef’s Basket over to its shallower side to steam some vegetables. You can’t fit the lid over the pot perfectly when using this gadget, but it still works!”

The Chef Basket on NBC Gets a Thumbs Up

WNDU, the NBC station for South Bend, Indiana, recently reviewed the Chef Basket on their WNDU 16 News Center program.

News anchorman, Terry McFadden, personally reviews the Chef Basket for his “As Seen on TV” test.  Terry fist shows the flexibility of the Chef Basket and he uses it as a colander.  He then tries his hand at cooking.  He boils some pasta and steams some broccoli.

Terry says “it did a great job of making the pasta, going from the pot to the plate.  Steaming the vegetables was great and if you have to rinse off any vegetables….it does a great job.  It acts like a colander.”

“We’re going to give it a thumbs up!”

The Versatility of the Chef Basket

“Imagine having a colander, frying basket, strainer, steamer receptacle and wire basket in your kitchen. That’s at least four different kitchen accessories that you need to store away” begins the Chef Basket review at JennyReviews.  “Now, check out Chef Basket, a revolutionary invention that is all those in just one kitchen accessory. And when you’re done, collapse it and store it flat in any drawer. How much more versatile can a kitchen accessory get?”

The review goes on to discuss the versatility of the Chef Basket.  It cooks pasta and boils eggs.  It can help with steaming, deep frying, blanching and poaching your food.

When you’re done you can simply “collapse the Chef Basket so it lies flat and store. Say goodbye to bulky pans that don’t fit in your drawers. This one goes right into any size of drawer.”
